I'm sorry, but it's only available in swedish. Maybe if I get time, I translate it into english. Think about this: A modelrailroad is not the same thing as a toytrain. To build a modelrailroad is an advance engineer work. Like painting a picture in 3D, and then make it work and locomote. The site is at first hand consecrated to trainfans, so here is some explanations: The railroad is built in the scale 1:87, even called H0 scale ("aitch-oh"). The trains are controlled by digital signals from the control unit. It's constant circa 16 volts AC in the rails, and the digital information is picked up in the trains, from the rails, to a microcomputer in the train, even calle a decoder. |

The modeltrain hobby is maybe one of the most universal hobby that exist. For me is the most important part to recreate the reality, and reality is everything. Nothing is outside the reality world. There is an artistic branch in the hobby, about create realistic environments like mountains, lakes, trees etc. To build a town gives possibilities to draw houses and organize roads, parks and lights. To mount working street lights, flashing corporate signs and traffic lights really gives a beautiful and realistic impression. Next we have the electronic part. Tousands of cables and circuits have to be connected in the right way to get the railroad working. After much work and thinking, it's a good feeling to see it all working perfectly. |

If you want to take the next step, sounds can be added to the layout. Background sounds like birds or citytraffic gives a feeling of reality. To put it simply: It's all about to create a world. There is no limits for what you can do. Build a stadium, a biograph, a see with a beach or a city centre. Maybe, an imposing bridge, a cheerful small town, a farming landscape with animals and farms, an industrial area, an amusement park with music and thousands of flashing lights. Only the imagination is the limit. Today, I haven't come so far with the construction work. The whole trackwork is not finished and all the cables are not installed, but soon... |
